ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Examines expense accounts, interest and account payments, cash receipts, sales tickets, bank records, inventory record sheets and similar items to verify accuracy of recorded data.
Reconciles and balances accounts.
Provides the accounting team detailed information regarding errors and/or lists of discrepancies for adjustment.
Will conduct efficiency studies of the various ARC-IV businesses for the past and current years.
Performs account reconciliation for accounts receivable, accounts payable module and payroll module.
Review all accounts receivable of Government Contractors for authorization.
Enters all accounts receivables invoices through Great Plains system.
Calculates all extensions and totals invoices, applying discounts when applicable.
Issues and records the ARC-IV various petty cash transactions.
Will assist the C.F.O. with cost reports, business reports, month-end and year-end closing procedures and annual budget analysis.
Provide technical and analytical support to the C.F.O. and other department directors.
Promotes a better more cooperative working atmosphere by maintaining a safe,
hazard free working environment by adhering to Cal OSHA and ADA requirements; following all regulations for safety as required by the Injury and Illness Prevention
Maintains a harmonious, pleasant and positive work environment as possible by
following established standards for preventing undesirable conduct, including but not limited to discrimination, sexual harassment and alcohol/substance abuse.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B. A.)
- Six months to one year related experience and/or training.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of manager and the executive director.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety or concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.
