DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:  A non-exempt position, reporting to the General Manager, responsible for customer service, taking drink and menu orders from guests, serving prepared drinks and menu items, along with maintaining a clean and orderly dining area. SPECIFICATIONS:  Greets all guests and bowlers in an efficient and timely manner, presenting menus and informing guests of all specials and off-menu items.  Accurately delivers multiple food orders, drinks and other items in a safe and timely manner; assures that all orders are accurately prepared, fresh and complete prior to serving the guest.  Proven ability to effectively serve multiple guests and/or multiple parties in a large area (e.g. bowling alley, sports arena, entertainment center, etc.)   Effectively communicates with bar, kitchen and janitorial staff while maintaining business relationships.  Ability to treat all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction, always striving to exceed their expectations; ability to resolve minor issues and discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.  Consistently observant for completed orders, guests wishing to place an order and open tables; actively tracks all open, clean and occupied tables.  Maintains, cleans, organizes and stocks remote serving counters.  Assures that bowling areas are clean, all trash is consistently removed, floors and lanes are free from debris and/or spilled drinks; effectively communicates with busboy/janitorial teams directing them to specific lanes or areas of the bowling alley.  Responsible for maintaining personal hygiene by washing hands thoroughly, using the appropriate cleaning materials and resolving hazardous spills and wastes in a timely manner.  Individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload as assigned by the Director of Arc Industries or the C.E.O. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  Must have food handler’s card.  California Driver’s License; clean DMV report.  Live Scan/Criminal Background Check.  High school diploma or equivalent.  Prior restaurant experience and/or cocktail server (3-5 years).  Ability to read, write and speak fluently in English; bi-lingual preferred (English & Spanish). A restaurant/bowling alley entertainment environment.  Work stations may be drafty due to its location by the door with medium to loud noise levels.  Servers are constantly standing, walking, bending, stretching, carrying trays with multiple items.  Hazards may include, but are not limited to slipping, tripping, spilling trays, etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is estimated percentage of daily physical requirement and/or number of pounds that may be need to belated on the job, include:  100% standing and/or walking during entire shift; 75% reaching, bending and stooping; 50% carries 20-30 lbs. over medium distance  (20-30 feet) and long distance (30-60 feet); 100% verbal communication with guests and staff.
