Activity Center Program
Our Activity Center Program offers a range of services for individuals 18-59. Individuals must have physical, social/emotional or intellectual disabilities which require the supervision that can be met with a maximum ratio of 1 to six.
The Program strives to teach consumers skills and behaviors that will assist them in becoming more independent in the community, their work and home environment. Preparing our consumers for their work life is of equal priority. Our goal of improving the quality and frequency of interactions in natural environments in the community will allow them to move on to the next step within their continuum.
The program is based on positive support in the areas of:
- Vocational Training
- Self-Help
- Health and wellness
- Self-Advocacy
- Money Management
- Mobility Training
- Social Skills
- Sensory Integration
- Independent Living Skills
- Community Integration
Referred prospective consumers must be able to communicate needs that may interfere with the ability to continue working such as sickness, pain, need to use the restroom or the inability to perform a task or the need for assistance. They must also meet the Entrance Criteria and must be able to attend the program five days per week.
